Her Picture Mood

Looking happy, as always.

Elisabeth actually requested that I take her picture this evening. Usually she avoids the camera. Tonight I found her looking a bit older as I reviewed this shot. She is headed off to kindergarten in just a few days. My how the time flies.

Tougher These Days

SONY DSC

I haven’t posted a photo for months. As I was looking back at this archive, I realized how much the children have grown since we have been in Wisconsin. It’s time for me to start documenting that here again. It has been more difficult to accomplish since the move. More photos soon.

Home and Away

Hannah and I sporting our new Sounders kits.

Daddy and kids have recently become big soccer fans together and are now closely following the Seattle Sounders. When deep discounts were being offered on last year’s jerseys this Christmas, Daddy couldn’t resist. Well…they were a big hit.

Her Pretend Phone

Sarah talking on an imaginary telephone.

Sarah is now in the habit of putting her hand to her ear and saying “hi, hi, hi!” If we mention we were talking to Grandma or ask her if she wants to talk to Grandma, she immediately puts that hand to her ear. The real phone is a different story. If Grandma is on the other end she won’t say a word. Looking at the phone and smiling is the most we have seen so far.

First Watertown Winter

Elisabeth having fun in the snow.

I wanted to find a creative way to document our first winter in Watertown. I think this slideshow captures most of our experiences so far. Merry Christmas from the Harpers!

Our Big Boy

Stephen with a happy, confident look.

I look at Stephen almost every day and wonder at how much he has grown up. He will turn three in just a few months, but I think this photo makes him look older. He is a content, funny and smart little boy.

Another Happy Day

Big smile from my girl.

Everyone in the house enjoys being around Sarah. She is happy, even when we are struggling. It is not too much to say she brightens every day with this, typical smile.

Three of Six

Elisabeth, Hannah and Stephen posing.

We were going to have the whole family pose with their art project, but in the busy moments just before bedtime I was only able to get these three. As you can see, they were pretty excited. Despite some letters falling off during shooting, we think the pictures turned out rather well.

Some Family Art

Fun playing with letters.

The kids love letters. They have a magnetic set and a set of stickers too – their newest, favorite things. Tonight we spent some time on this project, putting all of our names and ages on paper. They loved it.

Very Long Trip

Not a very comfortable rest.

This was our first photo upon arrival in Watertown. The folks at the Maranatha Communications office were kind enough to bring over a pizza for dinner that first night. At least a few of us were able to stay awake while finishing it!
