King of the jungle

Our Zoo Trip

After three trips to the zoo over the past few months, we finally got to see the lions. It seems like they even posed for our pictures. Here is a closeup of the large male. All the kids seemed to enjoy watching them.

Playing with a stick in the yard.

Shoes Off Again

Hannah prefers going without shoes, whether she’s in the house, the car, the yard or just about anywhere else!

She could stay on this thing forever!

On the Swing

One of the ‘Lower 48′ trip highlights for Hannah was the swing set; I assured her we have them in Fairbanks too!

A little fun on the swingset.

View From Above

We spent some time on a beautiful lake shore in Pennsylvania, but the kids were only interested in the swing set nearby!

It's the simple things that make us happy!

A Good Stick

There are few things that make Stephen happier than a good stick, and on this day he found one near the lakeside.

Geese Not Fish

When asked if she liked the animals at the lake, Elisabeth replied: “Geese, not fish.” Yeah…the carp are rather ugly.

Enjoying the view of the lake.

Taking a Seat

Elisabeth and Stephen took a break from feeding the birds and fish to sit in the sunshine next to the lake.

Having fun at the lake.

Enjoying Our Vacation

Throwing bread to the ducks, geese, seagulls and carp was on the agenda this day; it was a lot of fun.

Anchor Point Eagle

Eagles are common on the Kenai Peninsula and we observed this one in Anchor Point on the shore of Cook Inlet.

On Fisherman’s Wharf

While attending a business conference in San Francisco, I have had the opportunity to see a few of the sights.
